Guest Stories
The home and location were fantastic! The use of the hot tub and sauna added greatly to our stay. The kitchen was well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Five of us girlfriends had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend.
Nökkvi’s place was peaceful and quiet, but not overly secluded. So it feels private and secure but also has a remote neighborhood feel. Absolutely no friction in or out. Communication was excellent and the location was convenient to everything in that region. It was also nice to have the extra bathroom - many places are multi-bedrooms but only one bath. Weather was not ideal when we were there but there are ample windows and outside deck area to enjoy the clear nights and northern lights when on display. Enjoy your days exploring along the Golden Circle and your nights relaxing at Nökkvi’s comfortable home!
Absolutely stunning cabin in the heart of the Golden Circle! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and our only regret was that we didn’t stay at this cabin longer - we will definitely book here again when we return to Iceland. Everyone had plenty of space, the beds were very comfortable, and the VIEWS were spectacular. The house setup was perfect with the main living space in the center and the rooms on the ends. I appreciated how fully stocked the place was - everything you could possibly need was there. The previous reviews are correct - the pics don’t quite do the natural beauty of the surrounding area justice. Icing on the cake for us was using the fireplace, sauna, outdoor shower and hot tub. We only had one issue during our stay - the clothes washer was not working and wouldn’t drain - unfortunately we weren’t able to get that rectified since it happened the night prior to our departure. Hopefully this will be corrected for the next guests.
We had such a great stay! The house was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and enjoying dinner together. The host was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. The sauna and hot tub were highlights of our stay. We’d love to come back!
